Monkey Tail Skinks (also called Solomon Island Skinks) are the gentle giants of the skink world, and this sub-adult is a perfect example of why they’re so sought after. With a robust build, a fully prehensile tail, and rich green and brown patterning, she’s a living piece of camouflage art. She’s currently between 15 and 22 inches and has years of growth ahead — adults can reach up to 32 inches.
She’s been with us long enough to settle in, and her personality is exactly what you’d hope for: calm, curious, and rarely spooked. She takes food gently from tongs and is already eating a rotating menu of fresh greens, fruits, and veggies.
